Paola

These photos are Paola’s love letter to the city of Los Angeles, the angels among us and Mother Nature.  When she is not busy with her 5 children, and even sometimes when she is, you can find Paola gazing into the heart of a flower doing her best to capture its beauty.  Being able to share these photos with you brings her as much joy and delight as discovering flowers on her walks. The ditches in Paola’s heart and brain run deep but somehow these beauties give her the energy to keep going. More than anything, Paola wants you to know that if she can click, crop and share, you can too! Go, seek beauty. . .

Cow Ditch Creations?

In 2020, Paola fell in a ditch unlike any she had experienced before. Each night, before dusk and in zombie like fashion, she would leave her apartment for a walk. She called it her walk of desperation. That is, until she noticed the flowers her neighbors planted close to the sidewalk. The colors, diversity, and simple beauty of each flower captivated her and enticed her to keep walking. Slowly but surely, the walks of despair turned into walks of hope - because of the flowers. Paola’s dear friend Martha taught her that when a cow is in a ditch, we can talk endlessly about how it got there or we can work together to get the cow out. The flowers got Paola out of her ditch. Sharing them with you, keeps her out. The unsung heroes are the ones who so generously planted the flowers in a place where Paola could see them. Inspired by the benevolent spirit of her neighbors, Cow Ditch Creations was born.

Art is a hope event.
